Coventry City defender Chris Stokes has been handed a one match ban by the Football Association.
Stokes has been banned by the FA for a tweet he made which included the word "Faggots".
The defender was charged for comment which was deemed abusive and/or insulting and/or improper. It was further alleged that it was an “Aggravated Breach” as it included a reference to sexual orientation.
Stokes was fined £1,000 and warned as to his future conduct.
