Coventry City manager has been told that there will be funds made available to him following a meeting between 'City chairman Ray Ranson and members of the club owners SISU.

However, Coleman has addmitted that more players could be leaving the club before the end of August.

Coleman said, “The chairman has spoken with some members of SISU and then I had a good meeting with him and he was very reassuring, I am not one to be ringing the chairman up every day asking where is this player or that player, but you want to keep on top of the situation."

He continued, "But it was a good meeting and I was happy coming away from it. It is important I don’t chuck my toys out of the pram if I can’t get what I want when I want. Sometimes I do get frustrated and angry, but I have got to keep looking at it long term. We might have to do it slightly different but the main thing is our transfer targets are still the same and we have got to stick to that."

"So yes, we will get money to reinvest. We are talking with a couple of players, obviously through their clubs, and I have been speaking to another manager about a couple of players, so it is not for a want of not trying."

Coleman agreed with the concerns of many fans,“I think a lot of people are worried because this time last year we had four or five new players, and maybe we were lucky to get the players in when we did.

The most important thing for me this week was to hear from the chairman that we are still doing the same things and trying to sign the same players, and that’s reassuring because we have got a bit of money in the kitty. We didn’t want to lose Scott Dann but we got a good deal."

"I just hope it doesn’t happen with any more of our best players but the problem in football is you don’t know what’s round the corner.”

Coleman, however, admits that the current economic climate is a factor, saying: “Most clubs have been affected by the recession.

"The budget we had last year may be slightly different to this year and it might be slightly different again next year and I have to understand that."
