Charles-Cook: We Needed That Win

Coventry City goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook has said that the Sky Blues needed a win against Portsmouth.

Speaking at this lunchtime's press conference to the Coventry Telegraph, the keeper said:  “The first couple of games have been quiet for me, apart from picking the ball out of the net three times

“We can only gain positives. We were upbeat after Tuesday - we had our chances and we needed that win.

“Lameiras has a magic touch, and everybody second half was brilliant. We had a bit of a rollicking at half time but Lameiras, Tuggy and the boys were brilliant.

“The changes were great. The gaffer wanted us to respond and we did.”

“The crowd at the Ricoh Arena is always brilliant - regardless of the numbers. Every time a big tackle goes in or header is won, you can hear them.

“The penalty? He took a tumble, but that’s part of the game, you know what I mean? He’s played the referee but that’s all part of the game.”
