CCFPA Golf Day Postponed Again

Last updated : 15 June 2017 By CCFPA

The Coventry City Former Players Association 10th Anniversary Golf Day 2017 at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club sadly had to be postponed due to inclement weather and a waterlogged course on Thursday 8th June and was provisionally to have take place on a new date, next Thursday June 22nd.

However, given the short notice of the new date it has become clear that too many teams as well as too many of our individual former players are also unable to make the revised date to make the event worthy of our desired tenth anniversay celebration reunion.

Our primary concern, as always, is to ensure the best possible experience for all the teams and players participating and we wish to do full justice to the significance of the occasion rather than offer a severely scaled down event.

On behalf  of the Association, CCFPA’s organiser Frank Pritchard and the rest of the Association support team (in kind cooperation with SDPGC supremo John Reay) have determined that Golf Day 2017 should be postponed again.

There is still a possibility being explored to postpone to possibly to late summer/ early autumn this year. However, if this does not prove to be viable we will celebrate our 10th Anniversary Golf Day properly next June instead.

Postponement will allow more time for all potential participants to consider and confirm their availability so that we we can guarantee an event commensurate with the prestige of this major annual CCFPA reunion event especilly given this particularly special year for us.
