As reported earlier, Meriden based construction company Cassidy Group will sponsor the kit for the next three season. For reasons unknown, the club have not announced how much Cassidy have paid for the rights.

City Chairman Mike McGinnity who attended the launch with Micky Adams and players Gary McSheffrey and Michael Doyle told the club website: "We're delighted to welcome Cassidy Group as the Club's official shirt sponsor ahead of the new campaign. "They are a local company who have undertaken numerous projects in Coventry and across both the UK and Europe and it's gratifying they are giving something back to the community in their local area, as well as supporting the Club. "Although this season has undoubtedly been one of transition for us, Cassidy Group didn't hesitate in backing Coventry City and I thank them for that."

Cassidy Group owner Patrick and Jim Cassidy added: "We are lifelong supporters of the Sky Blues and are proud to forge this partnership at such an historic time for the Club. "We believe there will be numerous benefits for both parties through this deal and look forward to working with Coventry City. "It will give us great pride to see the name of Cassidy Group on the players' shirts for at least the next three seasons."
