Coventry City Academy Coach Lee Carsley feels he is gaining experience every day.
Carsley is one of the few ex players who have gone into Academy coaching and the former City captain who has a UEFA A Coaching badge, told Sky Blue Player: "Getting players like Gael (Bigirimana), Cyrus (Christie), Nathan Cameron and Jordan (Clarke) in recent years and seeing the natural development of the lads; that is the most important thing.
"Of course the lads enjoy winning games and there is a good feeling going when you are winning but like I said, first and foremost, it is about delivering players to the first team.
"I am picking up a lot of experience every day and it is very different from playing. You have to take a step back and think I'm not a player anymore.
"Sometimes I want to join in and get involved but I have to keep my coach's head on.
“I've tried to take a step back and I haven't been sent off yet."
