Carlton Cole Being Linked

If certain rumours are to be believed then Carlton Cole is being linked with Coventry City.

Cole is a free agent and training with West Ham United in a bid to keep up his match fitness after a four match spell in America with Sacramento Republic.

Born in Croydon in October 1983, the six foot three Cole started off with Chelsea's youth team before progressing to the first team and making 25 appearances.

Loans at Wolves, Charlton and Aston Villa followed before he joined West Ham United in July 2006 for an undisclosed fee.

In a seven year spell, the England international with seven caps, went to make over 250 appearances for the Hammers before a spell at Celtic.

Coventry City manager Russell Slade has made it clear that he is looking for a target man which City have been missing for a couple of seasons.
