Carlisle To Benefit If Westwood Were To Go

Carlisle United would benefit from a million pounds if Coventry City were to sell keeper Keiren Westwood to a Premier League Club.

The Sky Blues, have as yet not had a bid for the Republic Of Ireland international and they don't want one. However, if one were to come in for talented keeper then The Cumbrians, managed by former Sky Blue Greg Abbott, would get £1m after inserting a clause in the deal which brought Westwood to Coventry last summer.

The Sky Blues have lined up Scunthorpe keeper Joe Murphy in case Westwood were to be snatched by a Premier League club but whether the keeper, who let in a dodgy goal in the League One Play-Off Final against Millwall, would be an adequate replacement, is being questioned by many City supporters.
