Carl Baker has said that he will not be signing for Coventry City.

The popular former City captain will be a free agent on July, has said that he will not becoming back to the Sky Blues.

Baker wrote on Facebook: "I know there has been rumours and speculation about my future.

"People have to understand it's hard for me to publicly announce my future on social media due to contract restraints.

"I've had so many kind and wonderful messages from Coventry fans who everyone knows I have the upmost respect for and as much as I'd have liked a move back I also have to respect my current club and other clubs I have spoken to regarding my future.

"I wasn't in a position to post over the last few weeks because to be honest I didn't have a clue what was happening myself but people who know me well know I will always try to be honest and can say I now have to sit down with my family and my agent and go through a lot of things to help me make the right decision on my future but can say it won't be at Coventry.

"I do have other contract offers and will make a decision I think is best for me and my family.

"Once again thanks for the messages and hope this helps clear a few things up."
