Coventry City have been linked with a move for Cardiff keeper Neil Alexander. The Scottish keeper was linked to the Sky Blues at the end of last season and could be available if he fails to agree a new contract with Ninian Park boss David Jones, himself a former Sky Blue.

One contract put to Alexander by Cardiff has already been rejected and Cardiff who will sign David Forde when the transfer window reopens, may look for a cash deal in January.

The last Scottish keeper City had was Scott Shearer who is now at Shrewsbury Town after being loaned out by Bristol Rovers.
