Can City Improve On Their Eight Wins Against Preston In Coventry?

Coventry City face Preston North End on Saturday for the 38th time in league and cup matches.

Of the eighteen games played in Coventry and one in Northampton, Coventry City have won eight and drawn seven.

Preston’s last victory in Coventry was a 2-1 win on September 25th 2010 and their biggest win at the Ricoh Arena was a 4-0 win in April 2007.

Last season, the game at Sixfields finished in a 4-4 draw. Tom Clarke fired the Lillywhites ahead in the 9th minute and Leon Clarke equalised in the 23rd minute. Bradley Wright had Preston back in the 63rd minute before Callum Wilson scored twice. Preston then scored two more goals through Joel Byrom and Chris Humphrey but in the fourth minute of stoppage time, Mathieu Manset equalised in front of a crowd of 2068.
