Can City Add To Their 19 Home Wins Over Barnsley

Tuesday will see Coventry City taking on Barnsley for the 28th time for a match played in Coventry with one game being played at Northampton.

City have won nineteen of the previous 28 meetings with six draws and two defeats with City scoring 64 goals to Barnsley’s 24.

City’s biggest win against Barnsley was a 5-2 win in 1960/61.

Last season, the sides met at Sixfields on August 19th 2014 and a crowd of 2,376 saw Josh McQuoid give City a fourth minute lead only for Conor Hourihane to level on the half hour mark. Jordan Clarke got City back in front in the 42nd minute but in the third minute of first half stoppage time, Leroy Lita levelled again in a match which finished in a 2-2 draw.
