As expected on his return from holiday, Coventry City defender Nathan Cameron today signed his new contract.

The centre half, who last season won the Covsupport News Service Young Player Of The Year, has come through the ranks, captaining the u18'S before impressing at Nuneaton on a loan and was given his first chance last season by Aidy Boothroyd.

Cameron has signed a new deal until June 2013 and Andy Thorn told the club website: "Nathan was one of the surprises of last season

Very few people expected him to start the first game of the season, himself included, but he took the opportunity with both hands and became a vital member of the squad

"We are developing a strong base of home grown talent here and that's really positive for Coventry City."
