Coventry City manager Chris Coleman is expecting plenty of activity when the transfer window reopens in January.

Speaking to the CT, Coleman said: "We are not daft and we know we want to strengthen in January but we also know that we have one or two players who teams will want to cherry pick and we are faced with that problem.

"But it doesn't stop us from wanting to add to what we have got already. We have got quite a few targets so maybe there will be one or two comings and goings, although I hope there won't be too many leaving."

Elliott Ward, Leon Best and Keiren Westwood have all recently been linked with moves away from the club and the City manager said: "Elliott was very close to joining another Championship club on deadline day but the clubs couldn't come to a deal. The other club need to move one or two of their own players to release a bit of cash, in fairness to Elliott, he wanted to go and play but we couldn't come to an agreement.

"We have the obvious players who will be mentioned with other clubs. We have got one or two coming out of contract whom we will deal with after Christmas so it should be very eventful in January in terms of comings and goings."
