As expected Iain Dowie's revamp of the CCFC Academy has hit hard. Academy Director Steve Ogrizovic has been made reserve team manager with U18's boss Brian Borrows leaving the club.

After two highly successful seasons for the U18's which saw the Sky Blues win their Academy League group and make the Academy League Final at Blackburn, this season has not been good with no players pushing for a first team place and City third from bottom in their division with two games to play.
Changes amongst the rest of the Academy teams are also expected to be announced and the club will advertise for a new Academy Director and U18 team manager.
Covsupport wishes Bugsy who made 488 appearances for City's first team all the best. Paul Fletcher said to the club web-site: "The Board believes quite strongly that the Academy should come under the guidance of the first-team manager and going forward, I am delighted Iain has decided to embrace this decision.

"In Iain, we have a man who wants to be involved in every aspect of the Club from the bottom to the top and I am sure he will relish this opportunity of helping to bring through new Academy talent.

"Steve Ogrizovic is an iconic figure for the Sky Blues who will undoubtedly be an asset for Iain within the first-team set up. "As well as adopting the very important role of Reserve Team Manager, Steve will be undertaking a number of scouting and ambassadorial roles for the Football Club, which are key components in helping us to achieve our goal of Premiership football.

"We're sorry to be saying goodbye to Brian, who has been a terrific player and servant to Coventry City. We'd like to thank him for all his services and wish him the very best of luck for the future.

"The CCFC Board would like to thank both Steve and Brian for their invaluable work over the last five years in running the Academy and acknowledge the boys who have come through the system to become first-team players."
