Brown In Charge For City V Palace

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game against Crystal Palace is Mark Brown from East Yorkshire.

He has only had one City game in the past and that was the 1-0 defeat at Peterborough United back in December.  This is his third season on the national referees list.  Mr Brown found fame earlier this year when he was banned by Mike Riley for three weeks for posting a joke about Stephen Gerrard on a social networking site.

So far this season, he has had 27 (five of which have been Championship games) matches and shown 75 yellows and 3 red.

His assistants are Carl Dunn from Staffordshire and Ryan Newman from Yorkshire The Fourth Official is Nigel Smith from Derbyshire.
