Broken Nose For Mo

Former Sky Blue Mo Konjic suffered a broken nose in Derby's 1-0 win over Plymouth at Pride Park on Saturday.

The Bosnian said: "There was no time to go down because we were so close to winning.

"These things happen in football. It's not the first time I've broken my nose but it has not happened for many years. "Hopefully, the nose will settle and I'll be ready for the game against Queens Park Rangers in 11 days.

"I am very happy to come through another game after my knee problems. I'm really pleased with how things are going. "

Konjic was praised by Rams Boss George Burley who commented: "Mo was playing only his second full game in more than five months, so deserves great credit. "He made some very important headers and challenges."I rested him for the game against Wolves because I knew we would need a dominant centre-half against Plymouth.

"He also finished the match with a broken nose and that tells you everything about the lad's character. "It's not the first time he has broken it. How many times? If Mo says two or three, I'm not going to argue with him.
