Former Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd is amongst the early favourites for the vacant Bristol City manager's job.

The role is open after Keith Millen left by mutual consent yesterday.

Boothroyd who was sacked last February as manager of the Sky Blues after being brought in by Ray Ranson in May 2010, is amongst the favourites for the job with St Johnstone boss Derek Innes and former City defender David Jones.

Since being sacked by City, Boothroyd has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and has done some work for Sky Sports News.
