Bringing City Back To Coventry - Our Suggestions

Last updated : 13 July 2014 By Covsupport News Service

Coventry City owner Joy Seppala and Tim Fisher have made a proposal via the open letter on Friday that they want to return to the Ricoh Arena, even if it is only while they build a new stadium.

Based on their proposal and those made by ACL/ Coventry City Council, may we offer the following suggestions to bring about a workable solution..

1 SISU pay £590k into an account. This money is to be used for the amount owed to Arena Coventry Limited which will be decided by the Football League. Should the League decide that the amount is not £590k, ACL to return difference within five working days.

2 All legal action between SISU, Coventry City Council, ACL etc is cancelled and all parties agree to work for the common good.

3 SISU pay one year's rent at a competitive League One rate up front within five working days of any agreement being signed.

4 Coventry City take any revenue from car parking, food and drink on concourses and hospitality on top of the income streams they had when they were previously at the Ricoh Arena. ACL take revenue from hotel bookings/ Singers Bar/ Jag Exhibition Hall use etc

5 Admission prices and season tickets stay as they would have been at Sixfields in a bid to encourage good attendance from City and visiting supporters and tempt back supporters who turned their back on City following their move to Northampton.

6 Items 3,4 and 5 to be reviewed after one season.
