Brightwell Beats Adams

Former Coventry City defender has beat off competition from former City player and manager Micky Adams to become the new manager of Macclesfield Town.

Brightwell,who hails from Lutterworth joined City in 1998/99 after being released by Manchester City but did not stay very long due to injuries.

The son of 60's athletes Robbie Brightwell and Ann Packer, has appointed Asa Hartford as his assistant.
