Brentford win to go top of League 1

Brentford beat Gillingham 2-1 tonight to take top spot in League One with goals from Douglas and a penalty from Trotta.

Brentford went 2-0  up with a  Jonathon Douglas goal in the  first half  and a second half penalty in the second half when Tony Craig was fouled in the area by Adam Barrett.

Former Coventry City striker Cody McDonald pulled a goal back for Gilligham midway trough the second half.

Coventry City remain in 11th place in League One on 34 points, Gillingham remain in 14th place with 32 point. Brentford go top with 59 points
