Boyeson The Ref For Retro/Legends Day

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City’s League One game against Doncaster Rovers is Carl Boyeson.

Carl is a central heating technician who started refereeing on the Hull Sunday League in 1992 and four years later, he was promoted to the National List of assistant referees in 1996. He was appointed to the Natonal List of referees in 2002.

His last City game was the 2-0 win at Walsall on January 3rd 2015 and other City games that he has been in charge of are the FA Cup Third Round win at Barnsley on January 04th 2014, the FA Cup Second Round 2-1 win over Morecambe on December 1st 2012, the 2-1 defeat at Portsmouth on December 3rd 2011, the home win against Watford on April 2nd 2011, the defeats at home to Preston and away  to Barnsley in 2010, the 0-0 draw at Doncaster Rovers in August 2009, the 0-0 home draw against Charlton in April 2009, the 1-0 defeat at Stoke in November 2006 and the 1-0 defeat at Bradford City in December 2003.

This season, Mr Boyeson has had twenty seven games (seven of which have been League One matches) and has shown seventy yellow cards and five reds.

His assistants are: Dumitru-Ravel Cheosiaua and Karl Evans. The Fourth Official is Paul Graham.
