Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has been full of praise for Richard Keogh.

The right back has impressed since joining the Sky Blues from Carlisle United in the summer and Aidy Boothroyd told the Sunday Mercury: "Put the right players into the right teams and they'll do well and Richard is one of those. I'm thrilled for him but I believe he can play at a higher level - with us.

"He's not the end product by any means but on top of his physical attributes - he's quick, brave, good in the air - he's got hunger. That's the biggest and most important thing for any player, and Richard is desperate to do well, to make himself better.

"I think we've got quite a few of them now whereas perhaps in the past at other clubs they might not have been quite so keen.

"They might have been happy to be mediocre, but this lot aren't - they want to win and they want to win all the time. The minute they don't, they get a little reminder."
