Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has hinted he may name an unchanged side to face Hull City at The Ricoh on Saturday.

Whether he picks Westwood depends on whether the Irish international goalkeeper passes a late fitness test, but if he does fail the test, Boothroyd will not hesitate to name Quirke in goal.

Boothroyd was questioned whether Quirke would be offered a contract after his impressive full debut on Tuesday, but he was non committal

“At this stage I’m not going to start making decisions on whether we give players contracts or not. I want to see how they finish the season, but then Michael might be doing his own press conference because he’s done that many interviews since he made that save."

"I think he’s going to be on Parkinson and Wogan as well and he’s got an open top bus ride round the city centre. Good luck to him because he deserves it. He was terrific on Tuesday night  and I’m quite happy because he gives me great ammunition for me to have a go at him when he comes in every morning."

“I’m joking, of course, he’s a good lad who’s always got a smile on his face and he’s a good professional who trains very hard and goes out to do his community work. He never thought he would get a first team chance this season but he helped earn us good points at Watford and Doncaster so he’s got an unbeaten record. I think Oggy’s a little bit jealous!”
