Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd was happy with the performance of his two trialists tonight against Nuneaton Town.

Both Danish Keeper Kevin Elegaard and Netherland Antillies international Orlando Smeekes played the full ninety plus two minutes of the pre-season season game at the Triton Shower Community Arena and it was not only the City support who felt they were amongst the better two players.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player about both trialists, Aidy Boothroyd said: "I thought they both did well.

"Admittedly Kevin did not have a great deal to do but on the occasions he was called upon he was sturdy and all you can do in that position is make the best of it.

"Orlando is exceptionally quick and has the ability to get past players but it's important to see if players can respond to this kind of environment and culture of football so I will continue to do that over the next few days."
