Bomb Squad Players Stay Bombed - Pressley

Despite Coventry City Football Club Ltd still being in administration and the club under a transfer embargo due to failing to submit their annual accounts on time, Steven Pressley has said that he will not be drafting in players he has dropped to the "Bomb Squad."

Gary McSheffrey, William Edjenguele and Steve Jennings are three of the players now forced to train at Broad Street Rugby Club after rejecting an offer by SISU to pay 20% of their remaining contracts in order for them to leave the club.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Steven Pressley said: “I made that clear and that decision was made.

“Unfortunately because of the position we’re in we don’t have a big squad and I’ll see through what I’m trying to do here. I am trying to make changes and I’ve had to do what I have had to do.

“I have not particularly enjoyed it but in the longer term hopefully the club will benefit from it.”
