Paul Thompson's side trailed to a goal from Phil Hill on 3.24 before JF Perras conceded a second when Jay Latulippe found the net just over a minute later.
Scott Kelman pulled one back before the end of the first interval but Derek Campbell added a third for Cardiff after 33.07 to wrap up a home win.
