Black praise for Pead

Pead came off the bench to score the only goal of the game just past the hour mark and Black, in charge of team affairs after Gary McAllister missed the game because of personal reasons, was delighted for the 22-year-old midfielder.

"To the credit of Craig, he's come on as a substitute and scored the winner with a fantastic finish," Black said after the game.

"He's worked hard to get another chance with the first-team and perhaps this is his chance now to go on and claim a regular place.

"What's important now is for us to build on that win against Cardiff on Saturday. That's the main thing now, because if we can get another win at the weekend it'll really shoot us up the league.

"To end up with two wins out of two for the week would be great, it'd be a fantastic double."
