Birmingham City coach Eric Black has distanced himself from the vacant City manager's job.

Speaking to the Birmingham Post, the former City boss who was badly treated by Mike McGinnity during his time at Highfield Road said: "It's difficult for me to speak about something I'm not aware of, but it is flattering to be considered a candidate, if that is the case.

"However, this job I have got now, the one I am actively working away at, is what I am concentrating on and more than happy doing. "I'm trying to help get the club back to where it belongs - the Premiership."
