Mikkel Bischoff has joined Coventry City on a free transfer. The 24 year old centre half signed a two year deal after being released by Manchester City. Bischoff has played for Danish side AB Copenhagen and had loans at Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday.

Micky Adams said: “Mikkel is a competitive defender with great pace and at 24-years-old, he fits the profile of the kind of player we are looking for. “He went to Manchester City for a fee of £750,000 having achieved a big reputation in Denmark and I feel that his potential has yet to be fulfilled. We're hoping that will happen here at Coventry.

“There were lots of other football clubs interested in Mikkel, both in the United Kingdom and abroad, so we're delighted that he's committed himself to Coventry City."
