New signing Mikkel Bischoff has been talking about his move to Coventry. The 24 year old Dane, told the club website: "I'm a centre-half so my first objective is to keep a clean sheet at the back as well as hopefully score a couple at the other end too. I'd also like to help the team have a good start in defence.

"I came here three weeks ago and spoke to the manager and he gave me a really good impression of the Club. He took me around and talked to me about the ambitions of Coventry City and that really convinced me to join this Club instead of the other ones.

"Injuries been really unlucky for me and hopefully I can get through many seasons here without any problems and hopefully play with the Club in the Premier League. A Club like this should be in the Premier League.

"It's really competitive and it's really fast in this league. I even played at Highfield Road with Wolves so I know quite a lot about this division. "It's fantastic here and the facilities are unbelievable. It's down to the players to pay the fans back for their support here."

"I would say I have aerial presence, I'm quite quick and I can play football as well so hopefully I can help the team in an attacking way as well from the back, which is quite important I think.

"I'm really looking forward to going to the training ground for the first time and saying hello to all the guys in pre-season. I don't think many footballers like running without the ball but it's something which has to be done because you need a good level of fitness. If the players come back fit, then the faster you can get the ball out."
