Birchall, who is not in first team frame at City, started the World Cup Qualifier in Havana but had to be replaced early on when he developed stomac cramps. He was replaced in the 39th minute by Khaleem Hyland who was subsequently sent off in the 71st minute for Violent Conduct.
Petrotrin, Daniel and Glen scored the goals for Trinidad.
