Coventry City striker Leon Best haas thanked the City supporters who cheered him on Saturday and at Hull.

Best had been booed by some sections of the home support during the win against Millwall after submitting a transfer request, following interest from his home town club Nottingham Forest.

"I have gone from being at the bottom to being at the top," said Best to the CT.

"This week they cheered me even before I scored and that helped me and even at Hull they were great up there and that just lifted me. But we have great fans.

"The Forest thing is definitely put to bed. I was flattered by the interest from my home town club whom I have supported from my young days. There was a lot of things behind it but everyone knows I am here and here to stay.

"I have got my head on the right track now and I know what I am doing with myself. But no matter what was happening I was never going to give anything less than 110%. And hearing the fans and seeing everyone else give 110%, it was just a matter of the right things happening at the right time.

"I think it was my best performance for the club. I was pleased to get my start and delighted to get my goals and delighted for the fans."
