Coventry City striker Leon Best is looking forward to meeting some old friends on Saturday.

Speaking to the CT, Best said: "A couple of my mates play for them Matthew Mills, Darren O'Dea who is on loan from Celtic and who I know through the Irish squad, and Jay Tabb of course, who played right-back the other night, so I will be looking forward to playing against them.

"Me, Martin Cranie and Millys have known each other for years and he's a good lad. When you play a good friend you have your little jokes on the pitch before and after but you always want to do better than them, no matter who you play.

"You respect and like them as your mate but once the whistle goes you go into your game mode and it is my job to score and play better than the man who is marking you.

"You don't really think about the friendship and then afterwards you are big buddies again.

"I think I am a better player than back when we were at Southampton but he will know my strengths because I played with him for five years."
