Coventry City midfielder David Bell is hoping to be fit to face his former club Norwich City tomorrow.

"I'm really looking forward to going back to my old club," said Bell to the CT.

"I'm not too sure what sort of reception I'll get, because the Norwich fans were brilliant to me while I was there so I just hope they understand my reasons for leaving.

"But to be honest, I'm not too bothered - I'm a Coventry City player now and my job is to go out and beat Norwich if fit and if selected.

"I had bad luck with injuries there - I missed the first 10 games of the season, which was very frustrating.

"My right ankle has got a bit of floating bone that needs flushing out; it starts throbbing a bit towards the end of a game and it takes a couple of days rest before it calms down.

"I really need surgery but I'm hoping I can manage it, grind it out until the end of the season and get it sorted in the summer.

"I haven't really trained much this week but I'll be training today so hopefully I'll be in the squad."

Norwich are reporting no injury problems.
