Coventry City winger David Bell has admitted his delight at being back in the first team fold.

Bell had a fine game for City U21's on Monday in a 3-2 home win over Barnsley and then came on for the last fifteen minutes of City's 2-0 win at AFC Bournemouth last night, helping to win a penalty for the Sky Blues second second goal.

Speaking to the club website, Bell admitted that the last ten months of being out injured had been horrible and said: "There has been plenty of up's and down's where I thought I was clear of injury, but then I got knocked back again.

"It has been terrible and has definitely been the worst ten months of my career and I just hope all that is now behind me.

"I played an Under-21 game on Monday so I was happy with my fitness. I was just on a high, buzzing with adrenaline to be back playing for Coventry."
