Being Sent To Coventry Was The Right Move - Bailey

Jamie Bailey has said that his 93 day loan move to Coventry City from Derby County is the right one for him.

Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Bailey, who was thrown straight into the Sky Blue action at Arsenal said: “I want to get games, match fitness and hopefully get Coventry a few wins. I wanted to come to Coventry because they are a big club with good fans and a great set of lads here, so I felt it was the right move for me.

“They like to play football here and that’s my game. I wouldn’t go to a club where they boot it here and there because that’s not me. Mark Robins has told me how he wants to play and everything sounded great to me, so it has come at the right time really.

“I have played a couple of big games for Derby against Forest, and against Liverpool at Anfield, but I would say this is the biggest I’ve ever played in with the stadium, the fans and the team Arsenal put out.

“Obviously it was a tough game and it is hard because we got beat 6-1 but it’s a learning curve for the boys and it’s good to play against those players because you can see how far you are off that.

"That’s where everyone wants to be, playing in the Premiership, so it was good.”
