The League One side had received two bids for the striker and a number of clubs including Coventry City were interested.
However, he has been taken off the transfer list and Leeds boss Simon Grayson told the Leeds United Official website: "We didn't want to lose him. He is happy here.
"If he runs his contract down and leaves on a free then we'll have to run with that, but our ambition is to keep him, get promoted and be successful.
"You can never stop rumours, but once the transfer window shuts in August there's nothing can be done about it."
