Be Grown Up About It - PKH

Arena Coventry Limited Director Peter Knatchbull-Hugessen has called on Tim Fisher to be grown up about the subject of talks.e

Tim Fisher is seen by many as acting like a spoilt brat when he did not get his own way regarding talks over the Ricoh Arena and instead of stepping back and letting someone else deal with the negotiations, Mr Fisher continued to throw his teddies out of the pram to such an extent that he agreed a deal for the club to play at Northampton Town for anything up to five years.

PKH, who supports the House Of Commons questions tabled by Coventry MP Bob Ainsworth which could be SISU's downfall, told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: “Much as I really wouldn’t want to have to sit with Mr Fisher, for a lot of reasons, let’s put that to one side. You have to, there are bigger things at play.

“Whether it needs a mediator? I don’t think so, the deal is very, very simple.

“Surely people have to be grown up, you have to put those things to one side, if you can’t do it, then get someone else to do it.”

Speaking about the questions raised by Bob Ainsworth, PKH said: “If the CVA is voted for then there is no further investigation of what has happened, where the assets moved in the company,” he said. And if you have heard Bob Ainsworth’s questions in the House of Commons, there are significant questions.

“What has happened to the assets recorded in the companies accounts between June 2012 and March 2013?

“They’ve just disappeared, they’ve moved and there are questions that need to be answered. If there’s a CVA those questions are not answered.”
