Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has confirmed that Adam Barton can look for a new club.
Barton has been loaned out to Fleetwood Town for the rest of the season and is not part of Pressley's plans for the future.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, Pressley said:"If Adam can find a suiable club in the summer he's likely to move on.
"Adam is a beautiful player who has developed greatly in terms of his off-the-ball understanding but we have Conor Thomas and John Fleck so i think we need some form of ball winner among the group of central midfield players and that's not Adam's biggest quality."
