Barnsley are understood to have agreed a £400,000 compensation fee for Oliver Norwood.

The Northern Irish midfielder, who made 17 appearances for Coventry City last season and is on Andy Thorn's wish-list, commands a fee due to being under 24 and according to this morning's CT, Barnsley have agreed a fee of £400,000 with Manchester United.

Norwood is due to hold talks with Barnsley today, although there is the possibility that Norwood could opt for League One football instead with the Sky Blues and force the matter to go to a tribunal.
