The centre half from West Brom is poised to play alongside Elliott Ward as Stephen Wright has still not recovered from flu and Ben Turner has a knee problem which has kept him out of training this week.
Also out is Keiren Westwood who has not recovered from a back problem and Dimi Konstantopolous will keep his place in goal with Danny Ireland on the bench.
