Leon Barnett, who spent much of last season on loan at Coventry City from West Bromwich Albion has joined Norwich on another loan deal.

Former City manager Chris Coleman was keen to sign the 24 year old defender on a permanent deal, but all fell through when Coleman was sacked.

Barnett was sent off at Newcastle while playing for Coventry and after serving his ban for the red card he returned in the home game against Scunthorpe and was sent off again when he conceded a penalty and received a second yellow card.

Barnett will be at Carrow Road until January 4th and Norwich boss Paul Lambert told his club's website: "He's a quality player who has played Premier League football as well as having solid experience at Championship level. "So I'm delighted we've been able to bring him in."
