Former Coventry City captain Carl Baker has said what many City supporters have been saying in that Steven Pressley did not get the best out of the players he had available.
Baker wrote on his Facebook page: "Never like to see anyone lose their jobs, but this is the business stage of the season and something had to change it's a results business after all and results haven't been good enough simple as that.
"Pressley is hard working, passionate and a nice guy but obviously hasn't brought the right players in or got the best out of the current players he'll be the first to admit this!
"And is, ultimately as a manager judged on this.
"Hopefully someone will come in get the lads playing in the right way and get the players confidence up..
"Survival is the key for me now then get through to the summer and re-evaluate it all."
