Away In League Cup

Coventry City have been drawn away to Hereford United in the First Round of the Carling Cup.

This is the first season back for Hereford after a number of years in the Conference and will the first competitve game between the two sides. City have played a number of first team friendlies there with the last coming in August 1993 and a 2-1 win for the Sky Blues. City Reserves lost a pre-season game there 1-0 in 2000.

The game will be played at Edgar Street on either August 22nd or 23rd.

The other new FL member Accrington Stanley were drawn at home to Nottingham Forest. Elsewhere,Birmingham City are home to Shrewsbury,West Brom are at Leyton Orient,Wolves travel to Chesterfield and Leicester City are at home to Macclesfield Town.
