Award For City Trialist

Sunil Chhetri who is having trials with Coventry City has been named as the All India Football Federation Player Of The Year.

He beat Dempo's Mahesh Gawli and Climax Lawrence to win the award on Sunday night and was given the award for being the highest goal scorer in the 11 years old Indian National Football League as well as scoring five goals for his country.

He has now scored 15 goals in 34 appearances for India.

On his trial at City, "I am really optimistic and I am looking forward to the trial. I just want to come here and give 100 per cent," Chhetri told Sky Sports News.
