The 2013/2014 season will start on Saturday August 3rd, the Football League has announced.
The clubs have opted for the season starting a week earlier, so that they can get in an extra Saturday match rather than midweek matches which tend to be less well attended.
The 2013/2014 season will see matches on Saturday, December 21st and Sunday, December 29th, as well as Boxing Day and New Year's day.before the season finishes on May 3rd
The Play-Off Finals have been agreed for May 24-26 at Wembley Stadium.
