Two Coventry City Associate Directors have spoken to the club website in an attempt to try to urge stakeholders to come together for the good of the club.
Speaking to the club website, Estate Agent David Shortland said: "I have had lots of formal and informal chats with Onye [Igwe] and Ken [Dulieu] over the past few months and I am convinced that they have nothing but a genuine commitment to turn this club around.
"It has clearly been a busy and difficult period for the club over the past 6 months, I understand the frustration of a lot of fans but do know that the new board are working tirelessly behind the scenes.
"I like a lot of supporters was concerned that we would lose some of our players on transfer deadline day, and so was delighted to see that not only did we add Cody McDonald, but that we were able to turn down significant bids for Luckas Jutkiewicz. Having spoken with some of the main Board members in recent days there is clearly a desire to bolster the squad with quality in the upcoming loan market, and we all hope they are successful."
Noel Hand said: "I did fear at one point that the owners would just get up and go, and be under no illusion this would have been a disaster. These guys are committed to Coventry City, they continue to put money into the club and until such time as somebody else arrives who can prove they can fund the club in a better way, we all must back the owners and work with them.
"I was delighted to see the owners had taken a more positive step to engaging with supporters. I believe that it was important for the board and owners to get on the front foot and talk directly to our fans. They started this last week, and also had a good end to the transfer window.
