Aron Plays For Iceland

Aron Einar Gunnarsson played for Iceland in their 3-2 international friendly defeat against Israel at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv.



The Coventry City midfielder, who was the only current Sky Blue involved in international action this week after Sammy Clingan and Keiren Westwood withdrew from their countries and his Icelandic team mates were able to have some time on the beach yesterday as they prepared for the game which saw them three goals down in 27 minutes.

Damari scored in the 5th and 14th minute before Rafalov hit the third in the 27th minute. Iceland scored twice in the second half through Finnbogason in the 78th minute and Sigthorsson six minutes later.

Elsewhere, former Coventry City striker Michael Mifsud (pictured below) played the whole of Malta's 3-0 Euro 2012 defeat to Croatia.
