The midfielder, who had already won the Covsupport News Service Young Player Of The Year Award, won the Community Award and Club Website Player Of The Year Award and told the CT: "You always enjoy awards like this because you know you have done something good in the season as far as the fans are concerned.
"I am really happy about my season and performances in my first year in England. I feel I have developed from game to game and week to week.
"I came here from Holland and no one knew who I was, and people were thinking who are Coventry signing?
"So I had to show myself as a player and I think I did that. Obviously the fans have chosen me as the best player of the season and I am really happy about it.
"I have surpassed my expectations. "It is my first year in England and it is a good feeling knowing that I have done something right."
